'Anchors wish I was one of them. Well, guess what... I am.'
Anchors is the first LP made by Quiet Button, releasing on October 17! The album contains nine songs, spanning 43 minutes full of intense, hard-hitting, wacky, and sentimental moments. People have already gotten a taste of what the album is like with singles 'I Know Your Name' and 'Ambition,' but always expect the unexpected - with twists and turns on each and every song you'd never predict.
Anchors is an album that I had in mind for even longer than the EP. Some of these songs are 3-4 years in the making and have been waiting for a long time for a proper release to the world. The theming of the album goes back to the old saying about anchors, buoys, and engines. "The anchors keep you in the same place and end up drowning you in things you don't want to do. Buoys keep you afloat and are there for you whenever you need, and engines are the ones who take action to help you grow. Stay around the engines." This album is obviously centered lyrically around the anchors. But what you don't think to yourself is that you could be an anchor to someone else...
I'm extremely proud of the work I have put into this album. Bob Hanlon helped a lot to fill in sound for a couple tracks with his unbelievably stellar guitar playing, so I give my solemn thanks to him. As well as for Jacob Edwards, Dain Ellman, and Nolan Husar, who helped record some parts and collaborating to make my dream band come to life.

Ambition is the next single on the album I can now talk about, Anchors! Ambition is something that I wrote in July of last year, with the song being about how pretentious people can only see a mile ahead while stumbling on everything right in front of them. The people in your life who seem to have hundreds of ambitious goals but can't even do the simple things, like walking. This song is a song for them.
My Prayer is a B-side that I fully recorded. It's a very personal song, as prayer is a very personal thing. I've always thought about making a song with everything being on the offbeats, and it eventually turned into this broodingly huge tune. Although it sounds like the album, I didn't think that it fit anywhere, but at the same time, I didn't want to throw it away. So here it is with Ambition for you to enjoy!

Hello everyone! Quiet Button has very big announcements on the way, with one of them being this single, 'I Know Your Name'.
It is a song I thought of while reading Tim O'Brien's "The Things They Carried". It was for high school, so I was tasked to do an assignment where I could either paint a mural or write a song - I did neither (sort of). I didn't finish the assignment, but that very day, the melody of the song got stuck in my head like a leech, so much so that it came to life.
This song is one of the greatest songs I've ever written and certainly my most beautiful. I'm very proud of this one and can't wait to share this to the world on July 11.
